Results for the Birchfield Harriers 10k Trail Poppy Run – 30.9.17
Birchfield Harriers hosted the 10k Trail Run at Aldridge Airport, it was a scenic trail run around the Airfield, Hay Head Wood, Cuckoo’s Nook and The Dingle before returning to the old airport. The trail route encountered crossing stiles, narrow foot bridges, woodland trails and plenty of steps. Unfortunately, the run seemed to have disturbed a wasp’s nest and many runners got stung, even after being stung well done to Cathy who came 2nd in her age category !

Results for the Blenheim Palace Half Marathon & 10k – 1.10.17
The historic Blenheim Palace played host to the half marathon, 10k and 2k fun run events in the grounds of this World Heritage site, giving runners spectacular views of the Palace and 2000 acres of stunning parkland. The undulating route started and finished by the Main Gates in front of the Great Court, with the backdrop of the palace, runners are ran twice around the Blenheim Palace estate before returning to the finish line.

This annual multi-terrain race was a two lap course around the streets, paths and parks of Bournville in Birmingham.

Results for the Mersey Tunnel 10k – 1.10.17
This 10K course started on Blackstock Street approx 250m before the KingswayTunnel. The runners started with a gentle 1 mile descent under the River Mersey. The Tunnel entrance marked the 1k point with 2k & 3k inside the Tunnel. At 2.5k runners started the long, slow ascent out of the Tunnel and into the daylight on the Wirral side of the river. Leaving the Tunnel runners moved on to Oakdale Road with the 5k halfway point just behind the Mersey Ferry terminal on Birkenhead Road. The second half of the course was flat from the Wallasey Ferry terminal to the finish at New Brighton running alongside the River Mersey.
