Birchfield Harriers hosted the 10k Trail Run at Aldridge Airport, it was a scenic trail run around the Airfield, Hay Head Wood, Cuckoo’s Nook and The Dingle before returning to the old airport.  The trail route encountered crossing stiles, narrow foot bridges, woodland trails and plenty of steps.  Unfortunately, the run seemed to have disturbed a wasp’s nest and many runners got stung, even after being stung well done to Cathy who came 2nd in her age category !
