Nominations for lifetime membership are proposed and seconded, with the life members considering each nomination annually. A decision is made by a majority vote.
Nomination Criteria
– Minimum membership of 15 continuous years or a considerable contribution to the running of the club as members of the committee over a 10 year period.
– Current, paid-up member.
– Given service to the club – e.g. organising races or events; marshalling, officiating or timekeeping; organising handicaps, Racefit or training; performing key roles for the committee (e.g. Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Social Secretary).
– Participation in races for the club.
– Excelled at running, e.g. selected to represent their country.
