Sam Nicholson

After volunteering at the recent Northbrook 10k, Sam was cheering the finishers in when she spotted a red/white runner had gone down, about 200 meters from the finish line. She went to see if she could help and found Joy had collapsed with the heat. She an a Northbrook marshal helped to get Joy across the line, and to the medical tent. Sam then rang Joy’s husband, who was 20 miles away so could not help. Once Joy was released by the medics, Sam took her home.

Kate King

Kate is a relatively new member of Masseys, but she had been keen to get involved, so she joined the Race Organisation Team this year. After shadowing at the Masseys 5k race in April, she stepped up to organise the Solstice Pace Race in June. Bravo, Kate. A baptism by fire!
