Results for the Ashbourne 10 – 24.3.18

This race was re-scheduled from earlier in the year.  The route Started and finished at Ashbourne Leisure Centre, the race was an out-and-back route along the Tissington Trail. Ashbourne is known as the gateway to The Peak District. This was a beautiful route with amazing views from the former train line across the Derbyshire Dales.   Well done to Simon who came 3rd overall.

Results for the Charnwood Marathon – 24.3.18

This was a 26 or 15 mile event for walkers and runners in North Leicestershire, mainly on footpaths and tracks in a very scenic area which started from Rawlins College, Quorn.

Results for the Bedford 20 – 25.3.18

This was a scenic and traffic free 2-lap course through stunning Bedfordshire countryside. The course was multi terrain with about 60-70% on cycle paths with some gravel paths and the remainder on grass.

Results for the Gloucester 20 – 25.3.18

This race started and finished at the Robin Greaves Sports Hall and was a 3-lap course with two small hills per lap.

Results for the Liverpool Half Marathon – 25.3.18

This was the 25th staging of this event. The start and finish was at the Pier Head area, the route was is predominantly flat and headed towards Sefton Park where runners enjoy the natural beauty of Sefton Park taking in both the external roads and internal park pathways.  There was then a section along Croxteth Drive passing the cricket club, the route then passed through an underpass to access Otterspool Park & Otterspool Promenade and then headed back toward the city centre at around 9 miles.  The promenade section took in the Liverpool Marina with a four mile stretch back to the finish line, passing ​the Liverpool Arena at just after 12 miles. In the last mile runners passed the rear of the Albert Dock, behind the Tate Liverpool and crossed the dock bridge just by the Liverpool Museum at 13 miles.

Results for the London Landmarks Half Marathon – 25.3.18

This was London’s brand new half marathon through Westminster and the City The route started in Pall Mall and went past London’s most iconic landmarks. Runners were able to take in fabulous views of Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, Nelson’s Column, the Shard and the London Eye to name a few.  Read Helen’s race report here.

Results for the Hundred Acres Half Marathon – 25.3.18

The Hundred Acres Half Marathon is a multi-terrain race, run in and around Hundred Acres Wood in the beautiful Forest of Bere, Wickham.

Results for the Mortimer Forest Trail Run – 25.3.18

This race was re-scheduled from December, it is a beautiful, but challenging, course of approximately 8.5 miles that can be very muddy.  Runners got to climb “Poison Bank”, tackle the big dippers and enjoy the lovely, long downhill finish through “Mary Knoll Valley”.  The race started at Moor Park School, near Ludlow, and proceeded through mud, hills and valleys through the bucolic winter scenery of Mortimer Forest.  Read Dave’s race report here.

Results for the Mad March Hare 10k – 25.3.18

This was a chip timed, traffic free, mixed terrain, undulating course, held within the grounds of Stoneleigh Park Kenilworth. There was a choice of three distances (Half Marathon, 10k and 5k) around a 5k loop.
