Results for VMLM London Marathon – 23.4.17

9 Massey runners headed to London for this iconic marathon, with many more Massey runners supporting along the route and watching on the TV at home !  There were some fantastic personal achievements; with PB’s and first time marathoner’s crossing the finish line.  Read Dave Phillip’s race report here, read Jenna’s race report here.

Results for Madrid Marathon – 23.4.17

This race had a 10k and half-marathon running at the same time.  The route headed north towards the Santiago Benabeu Stadium (the home of Real Madrid), between 6-7k the course then turned around and headed southwards.  The full and half distances ran together until runners reached the 14k point and the half route headed towards Parque de El Retiro, where there was a complete lap around the outside of the park before heading inside for the finish line.

Results for Blackpool Marathon & Half-Marathon – 23.4.17

This race is run on Blackpool’s Promenade passing all the great landmarks and tourist spots.  The marathon is a two lap course and the half a one lap course, the marathoners lined up facing Blackpool Tower and ran South, while half-marathoners had their backs to the Tower and ran North.  Fantastic running by the Kingston’s with Jonathan coming 3rd in his age category, and Katie 5th in her category.

Results for Southampton Half-Marathon – 23.4.17

This race started and finished in the heart of Southampton’s city centre with the route passing iconic local landmarks including Bargate, QE2 Anchor and St Mary’s Stadium. With runners running both the ascent and more popularly the descent over the Itchen bridge, which was closed exclusively for this unique event.  Read Alison’s race report here

Results for Santander Half-Marathon – 23.4.17

This was the 6th running of this race which is held in Santander on Spain’s North coast.  The route started and finished at Paseo de Pereda with views along the coastline.  Great running by Jose and Vir only two weeks after their marathon debut, with Vir coming 3rd in the Senior Female category.
