Results for the Oswestry Half-Marathon – 30.4.17
This was the inaugural Oswestry Half; the course began and ended at the British Ironworks Sculpture Park, home of the world famous Spoon Gorilla and truly amazing Knife Angel. The route ran the first km within the grounds of the Sculpture Park, the course then went out through Oswestry with a mixture of Welsh and English Street names telling tales of how Oswestry passed from English to Welsh rule in years gone by. There was a hill to test runners between mile 6 and 7 before a gradual decline all the way back to the finish.

Results for Uttoxeter Half-Marathon – 30.4.17
This race was part of the Uttoxeter Festival of Running, which included a 10k and junior race, and started and finished at Uttoxeter Racecourse. The route was an undulating anti-clockwise loop going through Gorsty Hill and Marchington.

Results for Simplyhealth Great Birmingham 10K – 30.4.17
This race started on Jennens Rd, close to Millennium Point and Thinktank, the route headed downhill, through Digbeth before heading out along Pershore Road to the furthest turn point at Cannon Hill Park. The route then wound through the park and then to Edgbaston Cricket Ground where the route takes in a lap of the stadium. After returning back along Pershore Rd the route passes Selfridges and the Bullring Shopping Centre before a short uphill section back to Jennens Rd. The final fast and flat section is downhill to the finish line on Curzon St, outside of Millennium Point.

Leamington Cycling & Athletics Club hosted the second race in the WRRL. The route started and finished at Edmondscote athletics track and was two loops which went out in Victoria Park, along the River Leam.

Results for Milton Keynes Marathon & Half-Marathon – 1.5.17
The race started from outside the MK Stadium, the first 5 miles were on wide roads and tree lined boulevards. The marathon route then continued through Woughton-on-the-Green and Woolstone parishes where the half marathon split at mile 7. The half marathon then went right into the Ouzel Valley following the River Ouzel towards Walton Lake and then Caldecotte Lake, the route then went west to Ashland before heading back to the stadium for a final lap.
After mile 7 the marathon route continued through the original Milton Keynes Village and then Willen Lake before joining the grand union canal and passing Bradwell Windmill at mile 18. The route then went to Bancroft with the remains of an ancient Roman Villa, past the famous concrete cows and then Bradwell Abbey. The final miles passed Lodge Lake and Teardrop Lakes before heading back for the victory lap of the stadium.
