23 brave Massey runners took part in the Ashby 20, with many tackling this race as their furthest distance so far. The surprising warm weather and the undulating course made this is tough race, but the prize of a hoodie and cheese batch – spurred everyone on to the end.

Results for the Vitality North London Half Marathon – 20.3.16
Cathy & Geoff headed to London to take part in this half marathon with its unique “stadium to stadium” start and finish. The route went through leafy North London streets on the way to Allianz Park in Barnet, home of the Saracens Rugby Club. From there participants turned back towards Wembley for an epic stadium finish.

This race started in Stafford Street (town centre) with the route heading around various local housing estates, it was mainly a flat route incorporating two steady climbs before returning to the Market Square via Victoria Park.

Results for the Heyford Park Airbase Races 10k – 20.3.16
Set in the Cherwell Valley countryside there were 3 distance options at Oxfordshire’s most formidable Cold War Airbase (half marathon, 10k & 5k). The routes utilised the Heyford Park Airbase’s runway, and was therefore pancake flat and traffic-free.
Virginia had a great run in the 10k and finished second lady overall.
