Results for the Piece of Cake Trail Half Marathon – 15.7.17
This is the summer running of the February “Icing on the Cake” route with runners tackling 13.1 or 26.2 miles in the Shropshire Hills and The Long Mynd. The route covers a National Trust haven with the start and finish being at Carding Mill Valley. The course was fully marked but runners have to carry a map and compass, a rucksack and a minimum of 1lt water bottles and a 1st aid kit. Read Daniel’s race report here.

Results for the Hornton 6 – 15.7.17
This evening race is hosted by Cherwell Runners & Joggers at Hornton village, 6 miles north-west of Banbury. The race was first held in 1994 with only 25 starters. It is now part of the Oxon Road Race Grand Prix series of races and 150 or more turn up to run this scenic and undulating course through the picturesque villages of Hornton and Horley. Well done to Graham who won his age category.

Results for the Race to The Stones – 15.7.17
The route takes you along the oldest path in Britain from Oxfordshire to Avebury. The route passes up and along the high ground South West from Lewknor in Oxfordshire to the Thames crossing at Goring. From this point the route rises up onto the North Wessex Downs passing golden fields before the iconic finish where you’ll walk between the towering stones of Avebury. Read Lisa’s race report here.

Results for the Wycombe Half Marathon – 16.7.17
This was the 36th running of the Wycombe Half Marathon, which now also included a 10k. The start and HQ was at Adams Park, the home of Wycombe Wanderers FC with the race finishing in the stadium. The route took in the surroundings of West Wycombe Park with the back drop of the Golden Ball (St Lawrence’s Church). The route was a mixture of trails, tracks, paths and fields.
