Results for the Silverstone 10k – 4.5.16
4 Massey Runners completed this 10k race which is held each spring on the Silverstone Race Circuit and has more participants that any other 10k road race in the Midlands with regularly around 1,000 entrants. 2016 was the 33rd year of the Silverstone Grand Prix 10K race. The route is two laps and was the former grand prix circuit (now known as the Bridge Circuit) starting on the main grid and finishing in the pit lane. Read Dave’s race report here

This 10k race was started in 1986 and has grown in popularity over the years with a capacity of 1100 runners and challenges The Silverstone 10k for the biggest midweek 10k Road race in the Midlands!

Results for the Malhamdale Trail Challenge – 7.5.16
This challenge welcomed both fell walkers and fell runners, to its two courses, through some of the most stunning scenery within the National Park. Darren took on the demanding 22 mile route, with 3011ft of ascent, taking in landmarks such as Pikedaw, Gordale Scar and Malham Tarn; and Nicky took on the slightly gentler 9 miles, still with 1100ft of ascent which included The Pennine Way and Janet’s Foss – which was voted one of the Top 10 Secret Trails of The National Trust.

Results for the Market Bosworth Half Marathon – 8.5.16
This course took in the Leicestershire scenery around the historic town of Market Bosworth. The race started at the Market Bosworth Water Trust and passed many places of historical significance relating to the 1485 Battle of Bosworth and the story of King Richard III.

This popular 10k started and finished at Grove School, with the first 3k run around housing estates before runners headed out west along the Shrewsbury Road, at 6k runners started to head back towards the school before a final lap of the field and the finish line, and the “famous goody-bag” !!
