Results for the Chase Challenge 10k – 18.6.16
3 Massey Runners signed up for this off road trail race which followed a 10k-ish loop around the Cannock Chase area. Mostly on open heathland and woodland tracks, the trail was undulating and in some places hilly with some wide trails and some single track areas. There was a short area on a tarmac path at the start to ensure enough room for the field of participants and another stretch when the route crosses the old RAF training ground near the visitors centre.

Results for the Cheltenham Challenge Half Marathon – 19.6.16
The Half Marathon route presented a tough challenge, and was a multi-terrain 13.1 mile route using public footpaths and sections of the Cheltenham Circular Footpath, Cotswold Way and Winchcombe Way. The terrain started fairly level for the first 3 miles, passing through Prestbury village and heading towards Hewletts Reservoir. Then there was a long tough climb up to join the Cotswold Way and Winchcombe Way before heading north across the top of Cleeve Hill. Runners passed over the highest point in the Cotswolds and then rejoined the Cotswold Way, the route then looped southwards along the edge of the escarpment before descending through a forest towards Southam. Finally there was a fairly flat run through farmland and Prestbury Village before heading back to the finish line at the racecourse.
