National Trust Colby Gardens parkrun – 4.9.21

Race report by David Phillips.

National Trust Colby Gardens 3 mile Park Run, 04/9/21.

Well this is a beautiful large wooded area near Tenby so as we were down there at Penally what else to do on a Saturday morning?

So I turned up at 0830 to find that this was their 1st Park Run since they were all closed down last year so what a coincidence and what good unknown timing.

I always do this run when we are down in Pembrokeshire because, apart from the 3 hills per lap, it goes through the most beautiful natural  wooded areas and is all on natural trail paths.

So all 154 of us were welcomed back and very soon I was following most of the other runners and it was not long before the leaders started to lap me.

The good thing about this is that lap 3 was empty and I had it almost to myself but it meant that I could admire all the beautiful woods through which we ran.

Finally the end was in sight so a nice start to the day.

Will be back there again soon.

Result.
