Results for the Tiree Ultra – 9.9.18

11 miles long, 6 miles wide, famed for it’s white sandy beaches, and unspoilt landscape, Tiree’s coastline is rugged, beautifully carved, and adorned with long stretches of firm sandy beach.  This 35 mile Ultra run was the challenge of running all the way around one of the most beautiful, mostly flat, Hebridean islands, Tiree.  The course visited many of the islands famous beaches and landmarks.  Read Lisa’s race report here.

Results for the Great North Run – 9.9.18

19 Massey Runners took part in the largest half-marathon in the world with more than 57,000 runners taking part.  Starting in Newcastle upon Tyne the 13.1 mile route took runners through the city centre towards the River Tyne where runners crossed over the iconic Tyne Bridge, where if you were lucky you got a glimpse of the Red Arrows passing overhead.  Runners then travelled through Gateshead towards South Shields where they ran along the sea front for the final one mile.

Results for the Northampton Half Marathon – 9.9.18

This race started in the Town Centre with a tour of Northampton’s heritage, before heading off to the surrounding countryside with close proximity via Junction 15 of the M1, it was a picturesque course with an inspiring finish in the shadow of Delapre Abbey.

Results for the Two Counties Half Marathon – 9.9.18

The Two Counties Half Marathon course was mainly run on country roads in picturesque rural North Northamptonshire and South Leicestershire. The course took in the villages of Ashley, Medbourne, Drayton, Bringhurst, Cottingham, and Middleton before the final incline into the finish at East Carlton Park.  Well done to Phyll who came first in her age category, and Cal who came second.

Results for the Stratford’s Big 10k – 9.9.18

This was the 10th year of this race which shows everything that Shakespeare’s Stratford has to offer with a finish coming past the Bards RSC Theatre.  The start was from the Recreation Ground and onto the Shipston Road, along Clifford Lane and on the Milton Road until the halfway point.  The runners then headed down the Greenway, past the racecourse, Lucy’s Mill and Holy Trinity Church toward the RSC and the finish near the bandstand.

Results for the Nuneaton 10k – 9.9.18

This race began at the Town Hall and undertook three laps of the fast, flat, course on the roads surrounding Riversley Park, crossing the finish line in the Pingles Stadium.  Well done to Cathy who came second in her age category.

Results for the Lichfield 10k – 9.9.18

This 10K race is now in its twenty third year,  run mainly in quiet country lanes and was generally undulating with some hills between 4K and 7K. The race started on Kings Hill Road outside King Edward VI Leisure Centre and finished on the cricket field adjacent to the start area

This 10k took place within Sutton Park on an undulating route which was a mixture of paths & cross country.

Results for the East Coast Classic 10k – 9.9.18

The East Coast Classic 10k is a flat, fast, seafront 10k race.  The course started outside the lifeboat station on Mablethorpe’s prom and followed a route along the seafront past Sutton-on-sea and reaches Sandilands, where runners turned and followed the same route back to the finish outside the lifeboat station.
