The Mendip Way features the spectacular Ebbor and Cheddar Gorges, the brutal climb up Wavering Down through King’s Wood, incredible views over the Somerset Levels and to the circular Cheddar Reservoir, and then England’s smallest city, Wells. Finishing at the beach at Uphill just outside Weston Super Mare

Results for the Stratford Big 10k – 4.9.22
Based on Stratford Recreation Ground runners headed up the A3400 before turning right and heading along the B4362, Clifford Lane, turning onto the Milcote Road. Past the halfway point runners were taken onto the infamous Greenway, heading all the way down the Greenway along past the Racecourse, taking the path to the river and on up to Holy Trinity Church. Finally there was a slightly downhill section past both the Courtyard Theatre and the RSC Theatre before a final right to onto the Rec where the race finished near the bandstand.

Results for the Great North Run – 11.9.22
17 Massey Runners took part in the largest half-marathon in the world with more than 57,000 runners taking part. Starting in Newcastle upon Tyne the 13.1 mile route took runners through the city centre towards the River Tyne where runners crossed over the iconic Tyne Bridge, where if you were lucky you got a glimpse of the Red Arrows passing overhead. Runners then travelled through Gateshead towards South Shields where they ran along the sea front for the final one mile.

Results for the Mersey Tunnel 10k – 11.9.22
This 10K course started on Blackstock Street approx 250m before the KingswayTunnel. The runners started with a gentle 1 mile descent under the River Mersey. The Tunnel entrance marked the 1k point with 2k & 3k inside the Tunnel. At 2.5k runners started the long, slow ascent out of the Tunnel and into the daylight on the Wirral side of the river. Leaving the Tunnel runners moved on to Oakdale Road with the 5k halfway point just behind the Mersey Ferry terminal on Birkenhead Road. The second half of the course was flat from the Wallasey Ferry terminal to the finish at New Brighton running alongside the River Mersey.

Results for the Nuneaton 10k – 11.9.22
Nuneaton Harriers Athletics Club, in conjunction with Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, hosted the Nuneaton 10k Road Race. Competitors began the race at the Town Hall and undertook three laps of the fast, flat, course on the roads surrounding Riversley Park, crossing the finish line in the Pingles Stadium.
