Results for the Leicester Marathon – 23.10.16

Starting and finishing in Victoria Park, the marathon route headed out of Leicester on the Melton Road, just after 5 miles the half-marathon runners split off and the full carried on towards Barkby Thorpe, East Goscote, Thrussington, and then along the Fosse Way.  The full route re-joined the main route at Mile 19 back towards the town centre passing the National Space Centre, Frog Island, and Leicester Cathedral.

Lisa Jay took part in the marathon relay team event, and won first female team prize.

Results for the Great South Run – 23.10.16

Starting and finishing on Clarence Esplanade in Southsea, the fast and flat 10 mile course took runners through Old Portsmouth, home of the Portsmouth Cathedral, before entering the Historic Dockyard. Runner were granted permission to run past the Royal Navy’s current naval ships, including HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and the Mary Rose museum.  After exiting the dockyard the route reached the halfway point on Winston Churchill Avenue, before making its way back towards Southsea Common, where runners completed the final two miles on the scenic seafront with beautiful views of the Isle of Wight.

Results for the Draycote 10 – 23.10.16

This 10 mile route was just over two laps of Draycote Water with the usual undulating route.  Well done to Angela who came first in her age category.

Results for the Tempo Events Winter 10k series – 23.10.16

A series of five road races run over a course of 10.13k (6.3miles). The course is the same for each race but is run counter clockwise then clockwise on each alternate date.
