Results for the Dramathon Relay – 19.10.19

The Dramathon is a marathon distance race along the Speyside Way from Glenfarclas distillery to Glenfiddich distillery.  The route takes in several distilleries along the route.

Results for the Auckland Marathon – 20.10.19

The ASB Auckland Marathon course ran from Devonport on Auckland’s North Shore, through Takapuna to the Smales Farm Bus Station where it joins the Busway southbound to the Auckland Harbour Bridge. After crossing the Bridge, the course took in Westhaven Marina, the Viaduct Harbour (the halfway mark), before heading out along Auckland City’s waterfront. This section of the course was an out and back, with the turning point in St Helier’s Bay. The return leg followed the same course back to the Viaduct Harbour for a finish at Victoria Park.  Read Michael’s race report here.

Results for the Yorkshire Marathon – 20.10.19

This event showcased the City of York and its surrounding countryside. The route went through the city centre, taking in the iconic sights of York the stunning York Minster.  Leaving the city walls behind runners headed out towards Heworth Green, and continuing through the countryside to Stockton on the Forest, Upper Helmsley, Sand Hutton, through Buttercrambe Moor Wood and then towards Stamford Bridge.  Runners then went through the villages of Murton, Gate Helmsley, Dunnington and Osbaldwick Village.  Finally heading towards the University of York campus and the finish.

Results for the Abingdon Marathon – 20.10.19

The Abingdon Marathon was first held in 1982, the race started and finished on the Tilsley Park athletics track

Results for the Amsterdam Marathon – 20.10.19

This marathon started and finished in front of the grandstand in the Olympic Stadium.   The route went through the Vondelpark, the largest public park in Amsterdam, the course then took the runners through Amsterdam’s city centre and the heart of the Rijksmuseum, the famous passage which connects Amsterdam city centre with the south of Amsterdam.  The route then followed part of the Olympic route along the Amstel River, at 35km runners started heading back towards the Vondelpark and Olympic Stadium.

Results for the Great South Run – 20.10.19

This race started and finished on Clarence Esplanade in Southsea, this fast and flat course took runners through Old Portsmouth, home of the Portsmouth Cathedral, before entering the Historic Dockyard. Runners were granted permission to run past the Royal Navy’s current naval ships, – including HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and the Mary Rose museum.  After exiting the Dockyard the course reached the halfway point on Winston Churchill Avenue, before going back towards Southsea Common, where the final two miles were on the scenic seafront.  Read Alison’s Race Report here.

Results for the Thoresby 10 – 20.10.19

The Thoresby 10 or 10k is annual autumnal trail run in the beautiful grounds of Thoresby Park running along old military roads, cleared tracks through ancient woodland and grassed paths around the country estate. The 10k route is The Longhorn race in reverse, the 10 mile race is the 10k route with an extra 4 miles added through more of the estates ancient woodland. The route included a few hills to offer a small challenge around the course in some of the most scenic Nottinghamshire countryside as well as the forest & past the lake.
