Results for the Lon Las Cymru 250 – 12.10.17

Lôn Las Cymru runs for 250 miles and is a non-stop race from Holyhead to Cardiff Bay down the centre of Wales crossing several mountain ranges, this is the UK’s longest non-stop road race with a time limit of 88-90 Hours.  Dave Fawkner took on this tough Ultra, but unfortunately had to retire,  but still managed to run a fantastic 125 miles !


Results for the Gloucestershire Cross Country League – 14.10.17

Two Massey Runners took part in the Gloucestershire Cross Country League Fixture at Gloucester at Crypts School – the course was pretty flat apart from up and down the old railway embankment and was two small laps followed by two large laps.

Results for the Leicester Marathon – 15.10.17

Starting and finishing in Victoria Park, the marathon route headed out of Leicester on the Melton Road, just after 5 miles the half-marathon runners split off and the full carried on towards Barkby Thorpe, East Goscote, Thrussington, and then along the Fosse Way.  The full route re-joined the main route at Mile 19 back towards the town centre passing the National Space Centre, Frog Island, and Leicester Cathedral.  Read Dave’s race report here.

Results for the Birmingham Marathon – 15.10.17

This 26.2-mile event was the inaugural run of the newly formed Great Run British Marathon Series and started at Alexander stadium, the home of British Athletics. The course will took in a number of the city’s most iconic landmarks before finishing in the city centre.

Results for the Birmingham Half Marathon – 15.10.17

Starting in the afternoon after the Marathon this is the second biggest half marathon in the UK.  The route followed the course of the marathon, without the extra loop !  Read Michael’s race report here.

Results for the Manchester Half Marathon – 15.10.17

The race started on Bridgewater Way with the first 3 miles around the Old Trafford area, runners then headed down Chester Road through Stetford.  The route continued south to Sale and at the 7 mile point the course started to head back north, at 11 miles the runners re-joined the route they taken southwards, back along Chester Road until 12.5 miles when the course headed towards Lancashire County Cricket Club and the finish line and Race Village.  Well done to Vir who came 1st in her age category !

Results for the Cabbage Patch 10 miles – 15.10.17

The Cabbage Patch 10 is a race run by runners for runners and is almost as old as The London Marathon! It is one of the flattest, most scenic, ten mile races in the country aimed at runners of all standards on roads and towpaths. Starting in King Street, Twickenham, the route crosses the Thames at Kingston Bridge and Richmond Bridge, runs along the Riverside to finish on the drive in front of the York House Civic Building in Twickenham.
