Results for the Haytor Heller 10k – 16.7.16

This is a tough off-road event, sold as “not for the faint hearted or inexperienced runner”!  This race started below Haytor Rock and followed a hilly, single lap route before returning once again to Haytor Rock with a fast downhill scamper to the finish opposite the car park at Haytor. The course was approximately 6 miles and was challenging, with several steep ascents and descents and is generally run across rugged, open moorland, apart from two sections through woodland.

Results for the Rugby Half Marathon – 17.7.16

This race had a slight route change from 2015, although accordingly to Dave they added another zig-zag loop in the villages which meant crossing the M45 more times and adding more hills !!  although the free beer at the end was a welcome addition.  Again another hot day for the 5 Massey Runners taking part.

Results for the Big Leicester 10K – 17.7.16

This 10k around Abbey Park seemed very complicated on the map, but once running it was a lovely route inside and outside the park, it felt like a longer parkrun.  The course was extremely flat (25ft elevation), and if it hadn’t been so warm definitely a PB course.  9 Massey Runners flew the Massey’s flag, with a great PB for Scott.
