Saturday l took part in the Tysoe Windmill race which is a scenic off road race 5km or 10km. Starting from the old fire station then weaving through the village roads before heading off road towards the windmill. Believe me the climb is breath taking and the burn in your calves is worth it especially when you get to the summit of the windmill.
Then a lovely decent back down but if you’re doing the 10km you carry on through further fields and climbs.
It is a great organised race with plenty of lovely marshalls.
Definitely on the calendar for next year.
