Terry Brown – RIP

It is with great sadness & shock that I have to announce the passing of our Club President Terry Brown this morning after a short illness.

Terry was a true Massey legend, throughout his distinguished running career from the clubs inception in 1977 & later as Chairman until 2012 his commitment, passion & energy to go the extra mile for the Club has been second to none.

In later years as Club President, Terry would always be there roaring the runners home in all weathers at cross country fixtures & would always be first on the volunteer lists for our Massey races, where no job was too much trouble.

At this very difficult time, our thoughts go out to Chris & the rest of Terry’s family.

  1. Very sad news, I have some special memories from 1982 to 2001 of Terry as a competitive Team member and a great social friend.

  2. Brilliant club member. Terry was the one in the early days to progress the club. Birmingham x/c league, vest design and made sure club had an excellent social side to welcome all levels of runners. Kept club going in our dark days to the benefit of all present members. Will be much missed.

  3. Such sad news. Terry was a lovely man who seemed to have boundless energy. Sending hugs to Chris, Debra and Leila. Cathy & Mike xxx
