7 Massey Runners took part in the Robin Hood Marathon and two in the Half Marathon in Nottingham. Both races started and finished next to the River Trent on Victoria Embankment.
The run headed towards Nottingham Castle and out towards Wollaton Park, at mile 7 the course looped towards and around the University. Just after mile 12 the marathon headed out towards Nottingham race course, past Trent Bridge, and looped around the lake at Colwick Country Park while the half-marathon headed back towards the embankment. At mile 21 the marathon route looped again around the University buildings and headed back towards the embankment. A very warm September day meant some tough running for the marathoners.
