Results for “A Coventry Way” 40 mile – 3.4.16

Two Massey runners took on the full 40 miles of this race with another 11 taking part in the relay version, covering the same route.  Both walkers and runners were encouraged to take part with check points during the event for competitors to register their times and to re-fuel with pork pie and cakes !  The challenge started and finished at the Queens Head Pub and took an anti-clockwise route around the countryside, calling at Kenilworth, Stoneleigh, Wolston, Brinklow, Bedworth, and Fillongley

This was a great organised local event, and afterwards there were a few members volunteering for the full 40 miles next year !! (Entries open on 1st September 2016).  Further details can be found here

Results for the Paris Marathon – 3.4.16

Five Massey runners ventured to Paris to tackle one of the biggest marathons in the world with approx. 57,000 runners.  The route across Paris took in the Champs Elysees, the Bois de Vincennes, Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Concorde, Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower.

Results for the Warwick Half Marathon – 3.4.16

This race started and finished at Warwick Racecourse and was one large loop, which followed the Two Castles and Kenilworth Half routes for some of the race.  Listed as undulating, most runners said it was “hilly” !!  Well done to the 7 Massey runners who took part.

Results for the Reading Half Marathon – 3.4.16

Two Massey runners took on this half-marathon which started in the stunning parkland of Green Park and took runners round the highlights of the town centre of Reading where there was huge crowd support, the route also passed through the beautiful grounds of the University campus. The final straight took runners into the magnificent Madejski Stadium for the finish being cheered on by supporters in the stands.
