Results for the Iceland Marathon & Half-marathon – 20.8.16
4 Massey Runners took the trip to Iceland, this was the 33rd running of this race, with the start and finish in Laekjargata in the centre of Reykjavik. Most of the route takes place on the streets of the city, although parts of the marathon are run on tracks, particularly the seaside and salmon river sections. Runners had great ocean views, and also the mountains surrounding Reykjavik, including Esjan and the Snaefellsjokull glacier.

Results for the Newark Half-marathon – 21.8.16
This race was hosted by 4 running clubs and was set in historic Newark with its castle and civil war museum. The race started in the Sconce Park, site of a civil war battle, went past the Ice Age Journey dig, where ancestors settled over 13,000 years ago, around East Stoke, through Elston the birth place of the Darwin family and back to the Sconce Park.
