Yorkshire 10 mile – 8.10.17

Race Report by Nicky Chambers

This is great event and part of the Yorkshire marathon which you follow for 5 miles before splitting for 0.5mile and then rejoining.

It is extremely well organised from start to finish with a Park n Ride and a great event village.

The course is mainly flat with a couple of bumps between 3&4 miles and then a rather large incline at 9 miles but the last 400 metres is all down hill. If I had been race fit this would definitely have been a PB course and I would not been overtaken by a T.Rex, George and Bungle and an odd looking giraffe!

The support from the locals is amazing with lots of high fives, jelly babies and shouts for Nicky.

For finishing you get a great medal, technical t shirt, well stacked goody bag and a free beer.
I highly recommend and would do this again.
Bring on the marathon next year !
