National Trust Colby Gardens Woodland 5k, Amroth, Near Tenby – 22/02/20.

Well back now from a very wet Wales but Pembrokeshire was also as windy as it has ever been. Then that ****** French XV at Cardiff just added to the misery-although Wales blew it. My dad’s Welsh jersey and cap (1923 v France) framed on our lounge wall opposite the TV was in tears I reckon.
Anyway 118 turned up at Colby for the 3 lapper but fortunately it is all on gravel tracks in the woods and the wind was OK and it was dryish. So what more could you ask for? Plus the nature trails around which you run are a delight.
Trouble is there a 4 hills per lap so 4*3=12 I reckon.
Eventually after having been lapped by the winners the end was in sight and coffee and buns in the café made the morning jog worthwhile.
Just found out that I was 1st in my age category so a day well spent.
Warwick ½ beckons next we/ but at least that’s local.
