Angela McKay
April’s Member of the Month was awarded after the Ryton 5 last night. It went to Angela McKay for running her 5th Good for Age Marathon in London, in a time that qualifies her GFA for 2026 and using the race to fundraise almost £5,000 for the children’s charity NOTDEC Uganda.

Jane Bates
Jane ran an amazing race at the Ashby 20 – a testament to all the hard work she puts in at training.
Not only is Jane dedicated to her own runs, but she is supportive of other members – she signed up to the Ashby race so she could support fellow Massey, Les, in her training. We think this is a great display of solidarity and exactly the team spirit which Massey Runners values.
Well done, Jane – so well deserved.

Mary Conolly
For smashing her PBs and helping to lead our new “Thrilling” Thursday evening training sessions.
Mary has quietly got on with improving her running significantly over the past few months, with many new parkrun PBs being set in particular.
She is a perfect example of the Massey dedication to improvement.

A richly deserved award for Dave, for his great support of the ladies’ cross country and stepping in as a volunteer. including marshalling and video recording.
It is not just the running which represents the Massey spirit, but also this kind of teamwork and support shown by Dave on a regular basis.
