Congratulations to Sally Slevin who won a trophy for being the oldest female runner to complete Sunday’s Two Castles (12.6.18)

Well done to Graham Patton who won his age category (M75), in the Blisworth 5 (18.5.18) in 38:33, and the Corby 5 (6.6.18) in 38:41.

Congratulations to Dean Clarke won the overall Tempo Winter Series for 17/18, which included winning Race 2 and Race 4.


Well done to Phyllis Douglas for winning first place in her age category at the “Not the Roman IX” in January, and also finishing first in her category in the Leicestershire Half in February.

Fantastic Age category win for Vir Silio in the Rockingham 10 Mile on Sunday 5th November and 2nd place female overall – with a time of 01:07:59.


Well Done to Dean Clarke who took part in the Bedford Autodrome Standard Distance duathlon (10k run, 40k bike, 5k run) on 15th October,  finishing 7th overall and 2nd in his age category – this qualifying event means that Dean will now represent Great Britain in the 2018 European Duathlon Championships to be held in Ibiza.


Fantastic Age category win for Vir Silio in the Manchester Half Marathon Sunday 15th October – with a PB time of 01:30:41.


First Gloucestershire Cross Country League Fixture took place on Saturday 14th October at Gloucester at Crypts School. The course was pretty flat apart from up and down the old railway embankment and was two small laps followed by two large laps.

Brilliant age category win for Peter Estick in his 141st half-marathon (and he says his last !) at the Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon on Sunday 10th September – Pete ran 02:54:47 in the M75 category and won £25 !


Well done to Joanne Stacey and Rocket for winning first place in the Coventry Dog Jog, which is a series of unique 5k jogging events for owners and their dogs. The event offered a relaxed and fun atmosphere with no times and no pressure.


Fantastic Age category win for Cathy McKeown in the inaugural Nuneaton 10k on Sunday 10th September – with a winning time of 00:47:40.


Well done to Virgina Silio (Female V35 – 41:17) who won 1st place age category and 3rd place overall at the Stratford 10k on 10th September.


Huge well done to all of our runners in the 2017 Kenilworth Half Marathon … members dedication & participation meant MFRC won the award for most represented club at the race.


Fantastic Age category win for Angela McKay in the Ellesmere 10k on Sunday 27th August – winning time of 01:00:10


Well done to Sam Lowe (Male U20 – 48:59) and Graham Patton (Male V70+ – 49:26) who both won 1st place age categories at the Badgers Atherstone 10k on Sunday 27th August.


Well done to the all the Massey Runners who took part in the 4th Annual Sphinx Relays on Thursday 6th July.  This fun event was held at the Copsewood Club, and Massey’s had 5 ladies teams, 3 men’s teams and 5 mixed teams.


Well done to Virigina Silio who was first lady at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park 10k with a time of 42:14, and won 2 tickets to the Arcelor Mittal Orbit as her prize !


Well done to Graham Patton who took 1st place in the Over 70 category at the East Midlands Grand Prix – Milton Keynes 10k with a time of 48:05


Well done to Virigina Silio who won the 2nd Lady prize at the Wythall & Hollywood 5k with a time of 20:35, not a PB for Vir but £25 prize money !!


Massey Runners win prizes at the Two Castles 10k

Congratulations to Sally Slevin who won a trophy for being the oldest female runner to complete Sunday’s Two Castles (11.6.17), and was presented with her award at last night’s Sphinx Summer 5 – well done Sally!!

Also this year Vir, Marie & Lizzie scooped the 3rd place female team prize, a great achievement for the MF Ladies.   


Dave Phillips awarded MMAC Trophy

Dave Phillips has recently won a number of trophies and cups.  He scooped the Silver Cup at the Duisburg Marathon for 2nd place in his age category and then was awarded the Midlands Masters Athletics Club’s Presidents Trophy.
