6 Massey Runners took part in this half marathon close to Windsor Castle and within the confines of the Windsor Great Park. The course was two laps, one of approximately 4 miles, the other of about 7.5 miles with the remainder made up by the 1.5 mile Long Walk at the start and end of the race.
The course was best described as undulating with many flat stretches, but also some hilly sections to make the race a bit more interesting (race organiser quote !!). The final 1.5 miles Long Walk is particularly impressive with the sight of Windsor Castle in the distance beyond the finish line is quite outstanding.
Part of the route was Crown Estate private property and is only open to runners on race day. While completing the run Emma and Jane had an interesting chat with Chris Evans who was also running for his charity.
