Results for the Kingsbury Classic 10k – 8.5.18
This was the 18th running of this classic 10km race through the glorious scenery of Kingsbury Water Park in Warwickshire : two laps of footpaths, grass tracks and a short tarmac section twisting around the lakes and pools of the water park, with a section alongside the river. Results for the Silverstone 10k – 9.5.18
The Silverstone Grand Prix 10K race is held each spring (early May) on the Silverstone Race Circuit. This race has more participants that any other 10k road race in the Midlands, with regularly more than 1,000 entrants. The route is the former grand prix circuit (now known as the Bridge Circuit) starting on the main grid and finishing in the Pit Lane. Well done to Graham coming 1st in his age category. Results for the Shakespeare Marathon & Half Marathon – 13.5.18
This was a mainly flat, fast course, starting in the centre of the town, opposite Shakespeare’s old school, taking in sights such as the River Avon, Holy Trinity Church (home to the grave of William Shakespeare) and the Royal Shakespeare Theatres. Results for the Crowle Gunpowder 10k – 13.5.18
The event – named because the race route passes by Huddington Court where the Gunpowder Plot was hatched – started and finished at the Parish Hall, the route headed out through beautiful scenery of the surrounding area, up through Crowle, with several mild inclines and a switch back at Trench Lane. The course then went towards Sale Green before a short downhill slope back into Crowle.
