Results for the Belvoir Challenge – 24.2.18

The Belvoir Challenge is a 15 or 26 mile event for runners and walkers which followed footpaths, byways, tracks and minor roads throughout the beautiful Vale of Belvoir, and with the kind permission of the Duke of Rutland, went through the Belvoir Estate. Both routes started and finished at Harby Village Hall but each year the route is varied in order to keep it fresh and interesting for entrants. Routes were clearly way-marked with coloured tape, with checkpoints approximately every 5 miles providing free drinks and snacks.

Results for the Rhyl 10 mile – 24.2.18

The Rhyl 10 mile hosted the British Masters 10 mile road running championship.  Set in the seaside town on Rhyl along the North Wales coast, this flat and fast course started at the SeaQuarium and headed east towards Pontins Prestatyn Sands Holiday Park where the route turned around and headed back to the start.  Well done to Marie who came first in her age category.

Results for the Lee Valley Velo Park 10k – 24.2.18

Set in Lee Valley’s Velo Park, a normal home for cycling, this series of races gives runners the opportunity to run the route on this spectacular one mile circuit at Olympic Park. The course is a closed off 1 mile loop, 3 laps for 5k, 6 for the 10k, 10 for the 10 mile and 13 for the half marathon.  Well done to Simon who can 3rd overall in the 10k.

Results for the Thorpe Park Half Marathon – 25.2.18

This race started and finished at the theme park. After leaving Thorpe park at 1 mile, the course followed 12 miles of full road closures around the beautiful rural countryside of Thorpe in Surrey.

Results for the Carsington Water 10K & Half Marathon – 25.2.18

This half marathon & 10k race took place around the undulating, traffic-free trails surrounding Carsington Water Reservoir. The route offered stunning views of the Lake and surrounding Peak District countryside.

Results for the Tarpley 10 – 25.2.18

This race is named after Bert Tarpley, one of the earliest St Edmund Pacer members and former club President.  The course passed through beautiful countryside around Bury St Edmunds and was ran along gently undulating country lanes.   This event was run over two distances, 10 miles and 20 miles.

Results for the East Midlands 10k – 25.2.18

This race was based at the National Water Sports Centre just 10 minutes away from the City Centre of Nottingham.  It was a flat and fast course set with minimal twists and turns, runners were able to take in the breathtaking views around this facility, completing 2 x 5km laps of the regatta lake and alongside the canoe slalom/white water rapids, which is home to some of Great Britain’s Olympic athletes.

Results for the Christie Tower Run – 25.2.18

This unique run saw participants run up the stairs of the Beetham Tower in Manchester, there were 798 steps and this is the 11th tallest tower in the UK, the current record stands at 00:04:17.
